Isn't filing bankruptcy the worst thing you can do, financially? Don't you still have to r

Where I live, it%26#039;s so expensive that many people work two jobs. Myself included. My co-worker is seriously considering filing bankruptcy due to serious credit card debt, school loans and other difficulties. But isn%26#039;t it worse to have bankruptcy on your record for 7 yrs? Especially if you still have to pay off some items? Also, isn%26#039;t it expensive to hire a lawyer to process the claim? It may be best for her to get a 2nd job like so many of us. Am I completely wrong?

her student loan and credit cards may still have to be paid depending on the type of bankruptcy . . and yes a bankruptcy is one of the worse things you can do to yourself. . trying to paydown and live cheap is the best way to go. . I work 2 jobs and go to college . . my husband also works 2 jobs but at least we%26#039;re not in debt up to our eyeballs . . .and our credit is great cause we pay our bills . .

Bankruptcy is not the best thing. Your friend will still have to pay their credit cards because they past a law acouple years back that you will still have to pay them even if you file bankruptcy. If your friend owes the money they spent it so tell them to get another job to pay it dont put the dept on someone else%26#039;s shoulders. People need to be more responsible for their debts and not try to take the easy way out.
