I am attending college right now and working two jobs I am going to apply for an apartment with my 6 months old son and have negative and positive things on my credit history? I have 3 negative thing and 4 positive things. The negative things are from when I was a minor and my mother messed things up for me and i care about her to much to report it and the positive things are from school loans. What are the chances that I will get accepted to an apartment?

You can dipute it with the 3 major credit companys, your mom wont get into trouble. Just let then know that those accounts were opened when you were a minor and didnt know how they were opened. They will most likely drop it from your credit report.

I would discuss the situation with the person at the apartment complex who is in charge of leasing. If you don%26#039;t give them an explanation of the past circumstances, then the only information they can make a decision on, is from what they receive from the credit check.

that%26#039;s mess up how the system work in this country, but I think u need to try to apply first they %26#039;ll tell u exactely what u need. and most of the cases like yours, they request for co-sign sombody who has a good credit will sign the lease on ur behalf for the first time only.
