you read where you can get free government money to payoff school loans or what have you.....do these really exist? where there is no paying for the information?

Go to the Government Grant site. Its a good place to start. Then check your local library. If there are grants out there like that, they won%26#039;t be easy to find. Most of the time, when you buy those books and things you are paying someone to do your research. But I personally know someone who received enough grants to almost finish their master%26#039;s degree. She spent about a year of filling out forms, writing papers etc. Not all were government grants, she found she private grant money that way too.
BUT never, ever pay for this information. At the least the information is free to anybody willing to put in the effort.

Beware - be very careful; anytime you see the word %26#039;FREE%26#039; there%26#039;s always a catch to it.
